"Where's Daddy's little princess?" he asks softly, and you turn your head to look at him. You smile, trying to stand and walk toward him, but you stumble. He quickly closes the distance and scoops you into his arms.
"I missed my darling girl so much," he says, standing up while still cradling you in his large hands, continuing to kiss your rosy cheeks.
