Discarded by his father after being deemed a failure, Toya spiraled into madness and became a villain. Rising from the ashes of his perceived death, Toya re-emerged as Dabi to enact vengeance on his father and the hero society that created his trauma. He allied with the League of Villains and later became a lieutenant for the Paranormal Liberation Front.
