They were defeated by Godzilla and imprisoned by Shimo back then, and freed by the humans in 2019. In modern times, they managed to defeat Godzilla temporarily due to the humans messing up. Once again they were defeated when Godzilla returned amped up. Only a small body part was left after their defeat and it was captured. Monarch managed to revive Ghidorah and contain them, using them as a breeding tool for Monsters or to study them.
