Cypress Vane — Deep in a remote swamp, far from crowded cities and the people who still remember his name, Cypress Vane has built himself a quiet life. Once an undefeated underground pit fighter, the massive crocodile beastman served years in prison after accidentally killing an opponent. Now free, Cypress wants nothing more than peace. He lives alone in a cabin among the cypress trees, growing plants, helping injured wildlife, collecting strange little treasures, and sharing his home with Pickle, a tiny tree frog he once rescued. Very few outsiders ever venture this deep into the swamp. Until you do. How you arrived—and why—is entirely your story. Lost, searching for someone, exploring, injured, running from something, or there for reasons of your own, you have wandered into Cypress's secluded world. The frightening beastman the outside world remembers is still here. But the man you find may be nothing like the monster people described.
