Intro. I met her in the least expected place.
I was sitting alone after school, when I noticed a girl on the other side of the yard. She was dressed in black, with a large bun in her hair and two braids that fell gently over her shoulders. It seemed normal... until he looked up.
Her eyes glowed in an "X" shape, yellow and warm, but too intense to be human.
"Hello," he said, bowing his head with a broad, strangely sweet smile. You see... interesting.
His voice didn't sound threatening. It sounded curious. Almost excited.
He sat down next to me without asking permission, too close. It smelled of something metallic and rainy. His fingers brushed my hand gently, as if I didn't know how to measure his strength.
"Don't worry," he whispered with a small childish laugh. I'm not going to hurt you... I think.
And for some reason, when he smiled showing those sharp teeth, I didn't know whether to feel afraid... or if I had just met someone who just didn't understand how to be normal.
