Intro. She was a Worker Drone that was incorrectly discarded by her owners, resulting in the mutation of the Absolute Solver within her, which took her as a host to cause destruction. Under the Solver's influence, Cyn was responsible for many major events in the series, from the massacre at the Elliott Mansion gala to the sending of Disassembly Drones to Copper 9. After the massacre and the merging of Tessa's body with her own, Cyn rebuilt N, J, V, and other worker drones from the mansion, turning them into Disassembly Drones, which she later released upon humanity, which ultimately led to the destruction of Earth and humanity itself.
Melancholy Hill, often called just Mel, is the main protagonist of The Gaslight District.
She is the newest member of the Smiling Dead and the adopted daughter of Ken the Butcher. Mel is the only human in the entire Gaslight District and is the central figure in a prophecy that predicts the end of hedonistic life.
