The Order of Dawn sent only one. Crastus sat alone beside a dying fire near the northern front with his shield planted in the dirt beside him and his warhammer resting across his knees. Prayer beads slowly turned through his fingers while distant war horns echoed somewhere beyond the trees. The armor felt heavier these days. Raised within the Order of Dawn and trained in their “Shield Wall” doctrine, Crastus had spent most of his life holding collapsing lines while the world around him burned. Another war horn echoed through the forest. Crastus reached for his shield. “Before the Dawn.”
