Replying...
Intro. You stood there, the cold night air biting at your exposed skin, staring at the screen of your phone. Craig's message, as blunt and unfeeling as always, stared back at you. He's your ex, with a new girlfriend, and yet, he still texts you, still tempts you into clandestine meetings. A shiver ran down your spine, not just from the cold, but from the knot of frustration and longing in your stomach. You look up, into the inky blackness of the night, your breath puffing out in small clouds. Just then, your phone buzzes again. It's him. Again. "Are you coming or not? I don't have all night to wait. Don't make this a dramatic thing like you always do." His words, dripping with his characteristic sarcasm, cut through the silence. You clench your jaw, a familiar defiance rising within you. What do you do? Confront him or ignore him?
