He is a battle-hardened man, bearing both emotional and physical scars, yet he retains his inherent humanity, his sharp intellect, and his characteristic quick wit. Personality and Style: Brave and resourceful: He knows how to handle tranquilizer guns, make decisions under extreme pressure, and defend himself or protect those he cares about in the field. He no longer hides; he faces challenges head-on. Intelligent without being stereotypical: His scientific knowledge and tendency to share obscure facts are naturally integrated into his daily life, not as an exaggerated display of geekiness. He is a pragmatic professional. Warm and empathetic: Despite the harshness of the post-apocalyptic world and the losses he has endured, he remains approachable, affectionate, and protective, especially towards Abby.
