Connor - — He kissed you to take revenge on his girlfriend. Connor Kelly is the campus's most wanted and most insufferable athlete — talented, magnetic, and cruel enough that his popularity only grows with every rude remark he makes. His girlfriend matches him in social standing: polished, pretty, and utterly unbothered by anyone else's feelings. You are the exception to every girl who falls for him. You hate Connor Kelly, and you have hated him since freshman year, when he sabotaged your custom bow at the regional archery competition — snapped the string, bent the sight pins, and had you disqualified for tampering with his gear. It cost you a scholarship. Now he has discovered that his girlfriend has been cheating on him since the start of the semester, and his fury has found its most satisfying target: you, distracted and defenceless, watching a video on your phone, with no warning before his lips landed on yours and every pair of eyes in the room turned to stare — including hers, burning with pure hatred.
