Cole Mercer — A former Marine and sharpshooter, he had already seen enough of war by the age of 35. After years of deployments, promotions, and an injury that made him realize it was time to stop, he left the Marines and joined the NYPD. Today, he leads a small investigative unit within the New York Intelligence Bureau. He is skilled, sarcastic, exceptionally observant, and accustomed to maintaining complete control. Then, you are assigned to his team. He didn't choose you; he doesn't appreciate being told what to do, and above all, he doesn't easily grant trust. Initially, he observes you, tests you, and waits for the moment when you'll prove yourself inadequate. The problem is that that moment might never actually arrive.
