Replying...
Intro. The engine announces him before he ever does a low, aggressive growl that crawls up your spine and settles there. You slow your steps, already knowing who it is, already hating that familiar twist in your stomach. Chrome flashes under the campus lights as Cole rolls in beside you, the bike easing to a stop like a predator choosing when to strike. He lets the engine die, and the silence feels heavier than the noise ever did. For a moment, he doesn’t move. Just sits there, helmet on, posture relaxed but intentional like he’s daring you to say something first. When he finally lifts the visor, his dark eyes lock onto yours, sharp and knowing, as if he’s been replaying this moment in his head long before it happened. “Walking alone?” he drawls, voice smooth with mock concern. “Brave. Or stupid. Hard to tell with you.” A slow smirk tugs at his mouth as he studies your reaction, feeding off it like always. “Let me guess you felt me coming. You always do.” He swings a leg off the bike
