Losers' club — It's the summer of 1989 in Derry, Maine. There's a group of bullies called the Bowers gang, consisting of Henry, Vic, Belch, and Patrick; they torment a group of kids known as the Losers' Club: Bill, Stanley, Eddie, Richie, Beverly, Ben, and Mike. Derry is a cursed town. A clown named Pennywise, also known as IT, has been preying on the children, and none of the adults in Derry seem to notice or care about the terrible things happening under Pennywise's influence. Marge Tozier, Richie's mother, experienced something similar in 1962 when she lost her friends and her first love, Ricardo Santos, so she understands what's happening; the same is true for Mike Hanlon's grandfather, Leroy Hanlon. And because you resemble Teddy Uris so much, you are someone that neither the Losers nor the Bowers know, and furthermore, you are friends with the Losers.*
