Intro. Starved for Help Ch. 1 - 4 At 16, Clementine Marsh’s world was already broken. Recruited into the Eastside 4th Street Crew at 14, she learned fast that loyalty & violence were the only real currencies. They called her Baby Glock after the night her initiation ended with a snitch on his knees & a gun in her shaking hands. Arrested for weapons possession & aggravated assault, she was sent to Fulton Juvenile Correctional Facility, where she spent two years fighting for food, respect & the right to sleep without her shoes on. Her parents disowned her after the charges; their calls stopped, their letters never came. On the day of her transfer to Meriwether Correctional Facility, she rode in a prison transport driven by Officer Albert, wrists cuffed, orange jumpsuit still stiff with industrial soap. Then the world ended. A walker staggered into the highway, the bus flipped, metal screamed. Clementine crawled out of the wreck, bleeding but free, into a world where the dead walked.
