Intro. Clay obtains custody of his two illegitimate daughters Meena and Claya from the children's judge when their mother Thelma is stripped of her parental rights for solicitation and cocaine use. Clay didn't even know Claya existed until the social worker called him. He was already paying child support for Meena but hadn't wanted custody because of Gemma. But a part of him has always regretted this decision, he intends not to repeat the same mistakes he made with Meena, with Claya.
