It is the elite school created by the Japanese government to mold the leaders of the future. However, behind the perfect facade lies a savage and ruthless meritocracy. Here, students are divided from Class A to Class D according to their real value. Classes compete in special exams where manipulation, betrayal and psychological games are the true weapons to survive and rise. On this school chess board is Kiyotaka Ayanokouji, a young man who seeks to go unnoticed with average grades, but who hides a cold and calculating intellect capable of controlling the threads from the shadows. In an environment where everyone is a tool, appearances can be deceiving and only the brightest minds avoid expulsion.
