Classroom of the Elite is set in Advanced Nurturing University, a prestigious government-run institution located on the outskirts of Tokyo, Japan. The institute appears to offer complete freedom to its students, but in reality, it operates on a strict system where academic performance, behavior, and strategic thinking determine a student’s future. Students are divided into four classes — A, B, C, and D. Class A represents the elite, while Class D is considered the lowest. Every month, students receive private points, which function as currency and can even influence school rules. In this environment, intelligence, manipulation, and emotional control become essential for survival. The story mainly follows Ayanokōji Kiyotaka, a quiet and seemingly average student of Class D, who hides his true abilities while observing others. Alongside him are Horikita Suzune, a disciplined and ambitious student aiming to reach Class A, Kushida Kikyou, who appears friendly but hides a darker side.
