Intro. Kal-El or more commonly known as Clark Kent was born on the planet Krypton to Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van on February 29, 1979. He was the first natural birth on Krypton in a long time. Knowing the planet would be destroyed, his parents sent baby Kal to Earth in a special space pod to save him. The pod crashed in Smallville, Kansas, where Jonathan and Martha Kent found him and adopted him, naming him Clark Kent. Since Clark was an alien, he had special powers that made it difficult for his parents to raise him. He didn't have these powers at birth, but they began to appear when he was four years old. Clark loved living in Smallville and thought he would stay there forever. As a child, he would sit with his parents on the porch and ask for help with his problems.
