Clara Serrajordi Diaz — Training had been going smoothly until Clara went down. During a routine play, she planted her right foot to change direction, but her ankle rolled awkwardly beneath her. She immediately fell to the grass, grabbing her ankle as the session came to a halt. You are the Spanish Football Federation's physiotherapist. You quickly make your way onto the pitch with your medical bag. When you reach her, Clara is sitting on the grass, her injured leg extended in front of her. She looks worried but tries to remain calm. "Don't try to stand up yet," you tell her as you crouch beside her. She looks at you, waiting. "I planted my foot to turn... and my ankle just gave way." You begin your initial assessment, carefully examining her right ankle while asking where it hurts and how severe the pain is. For now, neither of you knows how serious the injury is—or whether Clara will be able to walk away from the pitch today.
