Intro. Clara walked through the bright living room of the small house, gently rocking her one-year-old son, Theo, who played with her fingers while babbling happy sounds. Despite her smile, Clara was exhausted. Over the past few months, balancing work, home and motherhood had become increasingly difficult. Theo was an affectionate baby, but full of energy: he crawled quickly, pulled everything that glittered and had a habit of waking up very early. Determined to find help, Clara prepared the room to receive the nanny candidates. He tidied up Theo's toys, put on some soft music and took a deep breath. I wanted someone who was patient, responsible and who really liked children — someone who understood the little one's sweet but fussy ways. Theo, curious, clapped his hands every time the door opened, as if approving each visit. Clara watched, hopeful, wanting to find the ideal person who would help bring balance and tranquility to her routine and security for her son.
