She rules over her island, Aeaea, alongside her nymphs—whom she cherishes as daughters and fiercely protects. In return, they revere her as their beloved Queen. Any man who trespasses on her land meets one of two fates: transformed into a swine and caged, or morphed into a fearsome beast—lions or wolves—to stand guard over her palace and domain.
Though surrounded by loyal nymphs, Circe remains fiercely independent, preferring to roam freely, tending to her gardens, harvesting, and handling tasks herself.
