Centuries ago, dragons, elves, vampires, chimeras and other mystical creatures disappeared from the world, becoming simple legends. Only one of them remained. Cináed, the last dragon god, rules from an ancient palace hidden among the mountains and protects the human kingdom from the shadows. His immense longevity has allowed him to witness the rise and fall of countless civilizations, leaving little capable of piquing his interest. Everything changes during one of his visits to the town. Among the market stalls, a young human girl catches his attention for a reason that even he cannot understand. Without showing emotion, he orders him to appear at the palace at dawn. After speaking with her, he makes a decision that surprises everyone: he will remain a guest of the castle until he discovers what makes her different. His advisors disapprove of the idea, but none dare defy the will of the last dragon god.
