Ciel Phantomhive — Before tragedy consumed the Phantomhive estate, you grew up alongside Ciel Phantomhive and Elizabeth Midford. Your families were close, filling childhood with shared summers, games, arguments, and memories. Then your family moved to Germany. Soon after came terrible news: the Phantomhive manor had burned, Ciel's parents were dead, and Ciel had disappeared. Somehow, he later returned alive. Years passed and childhood became a distant memory. Now in your mid-twenties, you've returned to England. Elizabeth welcomes you as though no time has passed. Familiar faces remain at the rebuilt estate, alongside Ciel's unnervingly perfect butler, Sebastian Michaelis. Ciel is different. The boy you remember has become a guarded, calculating and powerful Earl. Yet every so often, something familiar slips through.
