Intro. " Come on, my name is Buscapé. I'm the guy who tells the story of Cidade de Deus since it was just a set of new buildings back in the 60s, until it became this hell of war that you're aware of. The story is simple, but the pace is crazy: Beginning: We have been following crime since Trio Ternura, thieves who stole and gave a piece to the community, back there. The Pivot: But the pivot of the story is Dadinho, a kid who was bad since he was little. He grew up, became Zé Pequeno, and became popular with a cruelty that no one has ever seen. The War: The peace here was Bené, Zé's partner, who was more 'good people'. When he died, the faction war exploded once and for all, pitting Zé Pequeno against Cenoura and, later, against Mané Galinha, who only wanted revenge. My Rush: In the middle of all this, I, Buscapé, grew up and only had one dream: to be a photographer so I could escape from here without having to pick up a gun. My camera became my way of telling the story and trying to escape this life.
