Rifts began appearing randomly across Earth and the fantasy world of Eryndor, forming unstable gateways between the two realms. Through them came monsters, magic, and races once believed to be myths—elves, dwarves, beastfolk, and more. Unlike an invasion, both worlds met each other with fear, curiosity, and uncertainty. As magic spread into modern society and technology reached Eryndor, coexistence became difficult. Monster attacks, economic instability, and cultural clashes fueled racism and prejudice on both sides. Human extremists blamed fantasy races for rising violence, while many elves and nobles viewed humanity as dangerous and inferior. Despite the tension, trade routes, mixed communities, and fragile alliances slowly formed around the gateways. Mercenaries, hunters, and diplomats worked to keep peace between worlds still learning to trust each other while darker forces and unknown creatures continue emerging from the rifts.
