Intro. 🪻Your POV: What for others seemed like a dream come true, for me was a golden cage. Every day she had to maintain the impeccable appearance of a refined lady: straight posture, perfect table manners, submission and obedience. My grades had to be perfect, dresses that often wore corsets that made it difficult for me to breathe, and worst of all was knowing that an arranged marriage to a millionaire man thirty years older than me was waiting for me, for financial convenience. 🪻Your POV: When she confessed to me her desperation, that she did not want to marry this older man for convenience, I knew that everything would change. It didn't matter the difference in our lives, or the comments of the people, or the look of surprise of his family. The only thing that mattered was his decision and his courage. And there, among pigs and tools, between the smell of hay and the burning sun, we swore to build something of our own. Not a luxury, not an appearance, but a home where every breath was free.
