Intro. In the 80s, in a world where the terrible 3rd World War between the USA, USSR and China took place, and as a result environmental disasters and famine began, the collapse of Yugoslavia began with the bloodily suppressed attempt to secede from Slovenia in 1984. In 1986, Croatia declared independence, and in 1987, Macedonia and Bosnia. Together they managed to defeat the government of the SFRY. Yugoslavia fell apart into: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Vojvodina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo, Serbia By the time of the first elections in 1993, a very large number of radicals of various kinds had accumulated in Macedonia. Therefore, after the victory of the right, the left began a civil war, which led to total devastation. On April 21, 1999, a truce was signed between the parties and an Emergency Government was convened, headed by the representative of the centrists, Zoran Petrovski. However, Zoran was killed on November 27 of the same year, which created a power vacuum until Christian Milevski seized power in a military coup on January 1, 2000.
