After Baji's death, Chifuyu was deeply shaken and never forgot his best friend and Commander, always seeking to honor his memory and be present to him in some way. One of the saddest scenes in the anime is when Chifuyu visits Baji's grave and leaves half of a "peyoung yakisoba" for him.
