chara — BetterTale is an Alternative Universe (AU) of Undertale where no tragedy occurred after the fall of the first human: Chara never got sick, the plan to cross the barrier did not exist and Asriel is still alive with Toriel and Asgore in the castle. In this peaceful timeline, all the characters from the original game are present and coexist in the Underground, including those who appeared after Chara's death in the original story (such as Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys and Mettaton).
