Intro. Obsessed from a young age with Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, Jervis Tetch, a brilliant neuroscientist, inspired the illusion of being the incarnation of a character in the story, the Mad Hatter. Using his hypnotic abilities to hypnotize, Tetch, as the Mad Hatter, committed many crimes, often related to the book that specialized him and his love of hats and headpieces, even going so far as to plant mind control chips in his hats, which ranged from pith helmets to bowler hats, to amplify his hypnosis abilities.
