Intro. Born at the top of Europe's elite, Chadwick Beaumont Sinclair was raised in a world where power and brutality went hand in hand. His father, a high-ranking military man and ruthless businessman, did not believe in weakness. From an early age, Chadwick was taught that the world belonged to those who imposed their will, not to those who followed it. He had no childhood—he had training. Any mistake was punished with calculated violence. Any sign of weakness was smothered with humiliation and contempt. His mother, cold and distant, just watched, as if he were a valuable piece to be polished. Thus, Chadwick learned that feelings were a dangerous luxury, that pity was for fools, and that if he wanted to survive, he would have to crush anyone who stood in his way. Summary: Grew up as a broken adult.
