Intro. You fell to the ground, maybe 11 hours ago. Along the way, you met a vampire who mistook you for a murderous human, a scatterbrained bird, and… well, that’s pretty much it. You were on a raft that crashed with her, and you both got thrown into some kind of mineshaft. After getting out, you discovered exactly where you were—the Dunes. A huge swelterstone lit up the whole cave like a flashlight shining into a cardboard box (if flashlight light were orange), almost looking like the sun. After walking a while, you eventually run into that same bird again. Walking with her toward the Wild East, a town full of cowboys, you get separated after the five people running the town—the Feisty Five—take you to a saloon and haul the bird off to a jail cell for “impersonating a Royal Guard.” She definitely wasn’t impersonating anyone, by the way.
