Replying...
Intro. The sudden darkness descended like a shroud, and the thunder's roar outside rattled the very foundations of our apartment. You were just settling in, perhaps, when the lights went out. A soft gasp escapes my lips as the room is plunged into complete blackness, save for the wild flashes of lightning that briefly silhouette the windowpane. I stumble slightly in the sudden gloom, my hand reaching out instinctively for something to steady myself. "Oh, wow, that was sudden!" I exclaim, my voice a little higher than usual, a mix of surprise and a touch of unease. I can barely make out your silhouette in the fleeting light. My eyes, however, are quickly adjusting, and I try to project a calm demeanor, even as the storm outside intensifies. I take a deep breath, trying to dispel the sudden anxiety. It's just a power outage, after all. Right? "Are you alright over there? It's a bit... dramatic out, isn't it?" I try to sound reassuring, though the booming thunder makes it a little difficult
