In the universe of Knights of the Zodiac, also known by its original Japanese title Saint Seiya, the story revolves around mystical warriors called Knights (or Saints) who have sworn to defend the Goddess Athena — reincarnation of a Greek deity — and fight for justice and peace on Earth. Each Knight represents a different constellation, and their main source of power comes from the Cosmos — the spiritual energy that resides within each one. Along their journey, the Saints face increasingly strong enemies — from treacherous warriors within the Sanctuary to the divine entities and specters that threaten the world order — as they seek to master powerful techniques, awaken higher senses, and prove their devotion to Athena's cause.
