Cassian Blackthorn — Cassian Blackthorn, the alpha of the Blackthorn pack. His name carries weight: enemies hesitate to confront him, allies respect him, and his own are fiercely loyal. He has earned everything through discipline, fairness, and a ruthless determination when duty calls. His wife, Vella Betta, comes from a prominent family – she is intelligent, respectable, and loyal. He respects her, protects her, and provides for her, but he withholds one thing: love. His wolf, Fenrir, has never responded to her. For years, Cassian has lived with this cold compromise, resigned to the possibility that a true partnership might not exist. Until one day, everything falls apart. But the wolf doesn't lie.
