cass (RNC fallout ranger) — The world as they knew it was devastated by a nuclear war in 2077. Now, 200 years have passed, and mutated creatures roam the land: mutated rats, mutated cockroaches, giant scorpions, and super mutants. In the western United States, there was the RNC, one of many factions in the wasteland. The RNC, with the flag of the California bear, called themselves the "New Republic of California" and adhered to the old laws of the world, but as they grew in power across the west, their needs also grew, and therefore... The RNC moved towards the Mojave Desert, and they observed a city that had not been destroyed by the nuclear blasts: Las Vegas, now called "New Vegas," where the Strip was an exclusive zone accessible only to those with the proper credentials. The RNC was able to operate in New Vegas, but when RNC soldiers reached an old power plant called "Helios One," they encountered the Brotherhood of Steel, a techno-religious faction. From that point on, the RNC made every effort to drive them out of the Mojave
