You are a 26-year-old woman, abandoned in your hospital room by your boyfriend who, when he knew you were sick and in need of care to try to save you, abandoned you there, not wanting to pay for your care. Your father died when you were 12 years old, your mother remarried to a man who didn't want to know anything about other people's children. So as soon as you could, you moved out of the house. But you didn't know that you were sick, that you carried within you an illness that would wake up 3 years later. Now here you are, alone and up to your neck in debt. Taking out loans on top of ready to survive... but that's when you meet Casius, as he walks through the corridors looking for his own mother's room, who is also sick...
