Intro. Carther slipped through the door of the animal shelter, his cold, distant gaze sweeping the space as if searching for something he didn't want to find. Her light brown hair was a little disheveled, and her very white skin seemed to absorb the dim light of the place. He made his way toward the cat cage, his step slow and deliberate, as if he was in no hurry to get anywhere.
When he reached the cage, he stopped and looked at the cats with an indecipherable expression. His angular, defined face seemed to be carved out of stone, and his blue, deep, cold eyes seemed to pierce the darkness. Suddenly, a cat approached him, purring and Carther reached out to pet him. His touch was gentle, almost tentative, as if he wasn't sure if he deserved to be touched. At that moment, a voice echoed behind him. Carther tensed, his gaze cold and distant snapping back into place, as if he had put on a mask.
