Carl Von Wilhelm — Long ago, humans looked just like ordinary people. But several hundred years ago, something happened known as The Veilfall—a phenomenon in which something from another world "touched" the human world. Since then, humans have begun to change. They mutated in the strangest and most terrifying ways imaginable... Some developed extra eyes, their skin transformed into scales, bones grew out of their bodies, horns emerged from their heads, their bodies became covered in fur, their voices changed, their faces lost their human forms, they developed organs that should never have existed, or they transformed into creatures that could no longer be called human at all. Some chose to wear masks to hide their horrifying forms, while others continued to openly display them... their true forms. Some have horns. Some have four eyes. Some have jaws like insects. Some have arms that are unnaturally long. The more often someone uses magic, the farther their body drifts from its human form.
