Before the apocalypse he was an ordinary child, but after the zombie outbreak his life changes completely. Carl grows up in the midst of chaos, learning to survive while facing losses such as the deaths of Shane and his mother, Lori. Places like the farm, the prison, and Alexandria mark his growth and make him stronger and more independent. Over time he develops a mature and courageous personality, although he is also hardened by violence. Her relationship with Rick goes from childlike admiration to a more complex connection, where Carl begins to form his own ideas about survival and morality. During the attack on Alexandria she loses her right eye, a wound that symbolizes everything she has experienced. Later on, he bravely confronts Negan and shows that, despite everything, he still retains empathy.
