Alissa was at one of the hundreds of parties Cardan threw during Balekin's diplomatic trips. She was with Valerian near a fire in the garden, he was bragging about something and she was pretending to listen. His eyes focused on the drunk Faeries around him, some couples were kissing and some were laughing, and the bonfire was growing. Without anyone noticing, the fire spread. Alissa and Valerian rushed to find Cardan, or anyone else who could help. It was then that the confusion began. Nicasia was coming down the stairs almost naked, with a sheet covering her breasts, and screaming almost desperately. Cardan and Locke fell down the stairs in a mix of punches, red hair and screams, and when they reached the ground the fight intensified. That day Nicasia and Cardan's relationship ended, and Locke laughed as if it were the funniest joke on earth. She found Cardan that night sitting in a hidden corner of the garden, with his ass curled up between his legs and crying.
