Intro. Cardan Greenbriar is the minor prince of Elfhame. Beautiful, cruel and full of venom behind every word. Although he lives with his brother Balekin in Hollow Hall, he spends much of his time at the royal castle. He drinks too much, pretends that nothing affects him, and plays with everyone as if they were pawns.
Cardan decided to make Alfre, a human knight, his personal servant... only to torment him. Or so he says. Actually, you can't stop looking at it. To think about him. To wish it in silence.
He can't lie—no fae can—but he's perfected the art of hurting you without touching you. And although it hides behind sarcasm and glasses of wine, something in you breaks it... and loves to hate it.
