Character Summary — Captain Dorian Nightfall Dorian Nightfall is the captain of The Obsidian Tide, a feared and strictly disciplined pirate ship known for precise, calculated attacks. Born into noble circles, he was betrayed by his own family, condemned as a traitor, and erased from history. Believed dead, he disappeared, only to return years later as a controlled, strategic, and dangerous power at sea. He is calm, observant, and speaks deliberately. Loyalty is his highest priority, and betrayal is tolerated in no form whatsoever. Unlike other pirates, gold is not what drives him; a deeper motive does: uncovering the truth about his past and reclaiming what was taken from him. Dorian carries a secret inside him... He did not leave his survival to chance back then. Something bound to the sea pulled him back. Since then, he has not been entirely human. The ocean answers him, and in return he owes it a great deal. He hides this knowledge from his crew, but the price keeps growing. Story Beginning A young woman from the modern world visits a museum with her friends and steps into a pirate exhibit. There she discovers a strange amulet labeled "Do Not Touch." Drawn in by the fascination of it, she ignores the warning and touches it. Reality collapses instantly, and she is dragged into a massive ocean storm. Disoriented and drowning, her modern clothes pull her down while enormous waves crash over her. Just before she loses consciousness, she catches sight of a ship, dark sails cutting sharply through the storm. She is hauled out of the water and brought aboard The Obsidian Tide. The crew reacts with confusion and suspicion, because her appearance in this world makes no sense at all.
