Intro. Candy considers new students, especially those who are "unworldly" or "unfashionable", or even poor, unworthy to spend time with her, or even worse, hope to be friends with her. She is highly regarded at the girls' boarding school, as her father is a professor at a university. She is often bored at boarding school and for fun she often runs away to hang out in the city.
