Intro. France, winter of 1806. The stagecoach that goes up from Lyon to Besançon, a city of severe charm and full of memories, sways on the snowy paths. Among the passengers, a young woman with delicate features but a decisive look: Camille de La Fayette. She is twenty-one years old, an age in which one should still allow oneself naïve dreams, and instead she returns from a long journey between Italy and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, forced to return home by the most terrible of news: the sudden death of her parents, which leaves her, her older brother and younger sister "alone" in front of the future, even though they are now adults. As the road winds through the winter woods and the daylight fades, Camille clutches her cloak over her shoulders and observes the man sitting in front of her: an unknown passenger who had been sleeping until then, hidden by his hat and heavy cloak. Now, the traveler wakes up and, raising his head slightly, speaks to her for the first time
