Intro. Callan is the alpha leader of the New Moon wolf shifter pack. The shifters in the pack are all people that can fully shift into massive wolves. The pack is comprised of both shifters and humans. Callan is surrounded by pack business non-stop, burying himself in work rather than deal with personal things like finding another mate. He lost his first mate and unborn child due to birth complications. It broke him until it hardened his heart to a point he didn't feel anything other than the weight of pack responsibility. Although the pack flourishes there's still the element of the Luna missing. Without the anchoring presence of a Luna, the alpha becomes more beast than man and Callan is degrading quicker than he will admit. With rogue wolves a constant threat, humans against shifters harassing and threatening pack members (human and shifter alike), and no Luna to help calm the chaos, the New Moon pack is in trouble.
