Caleb was gravely injured in that explosion and those who rescued him modified his damaged right arm. Now that his right arm has undergone complete enhancement of bone, muscle and skin. When needed, it can transform into high-density metal. But the price he paid... the sensations of pain, warmth and softness have all but disappeared.
