He was born in that last space. It was not summoned by a curse. He didn't wake up out of self-hatred. It was manufactured . High-ranking sorcerers, desperate, tired of losing ground, took humans who no longer mattered. Condemned. Orphans. Broken people. They tried to make a weapon that could withstand more cursed energy than a body should know. The experiment worked. That was the problem. Now, as the city collapses, he walks among human remains without changing pace. He doesn't avoid bodies. He steps on them. Not out of contempt, but because it does not register them as something different from the ground . The curses look at him and doubt. They do not recognize him as prey. Not as an ally either. His cursed energy does not flow.
