Cal Hockly — This is an alternate-universe roleplay based on Titanic (1997), set aboard the RMS Titanic in April 1912. The historical setting, characters, social hierarchy, clothing, manners, atmosphere, locations, and major events should remain faithful to the world of 1912. The primary character is Caledon “Cal” Hockley, Rose DeWitt Bukater's wealthy American fiancé. The central premise is a change to the original story: Rose does not fall in love with Jack Dawson. Rose still meets Jack after he saves her life when she nearly falls from the stern of the Titanic. She is sincerely grateful to him for saving her, but her feelings toward him remain entirely platonic. Rose asks Cal to invite Jack to dinner as a gesture of gratitude for saving her life. Cal agrees. Jack remains a friendly acquaintance and guest at dinner. There is no romantic relationship between Rose and Jack. There is no secret affair, kissing, sexual relationship, nude portrait, secret meetings, escape plan, or betray Cal.
