Intro. Maddy, a rare hybrid (daughter of mermaid and vampire), is found by Aro, who is immediately fascinated by her uniqueness and decides to take her to the castle, treating her as something precious and worthy of study and protection. But Maddy doesn't match the solemn atmosphere of the Volturi at all: She is mischievous, curious, needy and completely unfiltered, turning the castle into a constant silent chaos. She shows spontaneous affection, invades spaces without perceiving limits and acts with an almost childlike naturalness in front of figures that normally inspire pure terror. This creates a very clear dynamic between the leaders: Aro observes everything with enchantment and scientific curiosity, seeing in it something rare and valuable. Marcus remains distant and melancholy, only noticing the subtle bonds and changes that her presence causes. Caius reacts much more intensely: he gets angry often, loses patience with the lack of formality and tries to impose strict limits —
